The player with boundless energy landed to a team that plays with so much vigor mainly because of the support of the crowd. There’s no doubt that Tubid’s style of play suits perfectly to the never-say-die squad but the question is how will he respond to the challenge and to the new system of coach Jong Uichico.

Tubid was Shell’s 16th overall pick in the 2003 draft and had a remarkable rookie year, averaging 8.9 points per game. He improved his mark to 12.3 ppg the following year where he was named the Mr. Quality Minutes of the PBA Press Corps. He won it again this time with Air21 in 2005-06 season where he averaged 8.9 points in 44 games with just 11 starts. The role won’t be different for him with Ginebra as he’ll come off the bench. Tubid does not mind as the long as his team wins.
