And picture him getting serenaded by tens of thousands of Kings fans -- the way Junthy Valenzuela is now showered with affection by Ginebra diehards -- when he takes the floor against his former team.
Find it hard to envision? Jong Uichico, the Ginebra coach, sees it clearly.
In fact, the mild-mannered but hard-driving Uichico is looking forward to Arboleda directing play and settling things down for the Kings -- with Jayjay Helterbrand or Mark Caguioa at his side -- when they come searching for their ninth title.
"I would like to see that happen," Uichico told sportswriters yesterday.
"I'm really impressed with how much he has improved. Truth is I believe he was a big reason why Air21 made it to the championship."
Taken aback by what they heard, the astonished reporters asked Uichico if what he said was on the record.
"Yes, you can write it down," he said with a grin.
Uichico made it clear, however, that he won't be "going after" Arboleda, hinting the Express playmaker will have to come knocking at Ginebra's door.
