Magnolia Squeezes Past Brgy. Ginebra

Lordy Tugade missing shots early in the game, found his rhythm shortly thereafter and was unstoppable, scoring a career-high 34 points ot lead Magnolia over the Brgy. Ginebra Kings, 101-90 yesterday a the Araneta Coliseum.
Tugade made five triples finishing 11-of-19 from the field in easily his best game since being acquired from Red Bull last year.
"What can I say. It was a hell of a shooting performance by Lordy. What he did tonight was a testament to his work ethic," said Magnolia head coach Siot Tanquingcen.
Tugade scored 13 of his points in the payoff period, when Brgy. Ginebra tried to make a run, getting as close as six points.
A three-pointer by Ronald Tubid made it 90-96 with 1:21 remaning but Tubid was then called for a technical foul on the ensuing possession as he hanged on the rim trying to follow-up Jayjay Helterbrand's miss shot.
Danny Seigle struggled to get his game going as he finished with only 9 points.
Dondon Hontiveros finished with 16 for Magnolia. Enrio Villanueva added 14.
Eric Menk led the Kings with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jayjay Helterbrand added 17 and 9 assists. Tubid finished with 15, Billy Mamaril and Mark Caguioa added 10 apiece.
